N2 - Scanning electron microscopy documentation of the first instar of Musca domestica L. is presented for the first time. The following morphological structures are documented: antenna, maxillary palpus, facial mask, spinulation, posterior spiracles, anal pad, and integumental micropores. Morphology of the first-instar larva of M. domestica is discussed in light of existing knowledge about early larval instars of Calyptrata flies.
