The project involves description, analisis and modelling of the vegetation of woody plants on the Horn of Africa (Eritrea, Etiopia, Djibouti and Somalia). The stay at the Museo di Storia Naturale / Erbario Tropicale in Firenze allows the gathering of data from the collections about trees and shrubs from the Horn.
The project involves collaboration with Professor Sebsebe Demissew, National Herbarium of Ethiopia, Addis Abeba University, and deals in the period specifically with the study and registration of specimens of woody plants from the Horn of Africa collected in the period from 1870 until now.
