Find out which Species your Teddy Bear Is During the Winter Vacation

Stuffed animal tacsonomic event for children and their adults

Which species is your stuffed rabbit, your plush dog, or your teddy bear? Bring your favourite stuffed animals too the Zoological Museum on Friday in the Winter Vacation and have our experts determine the species.

The teddy bear zoologists, Doctor Gjerløff and Doctor Trolle, are ready to take a tacsonomic look at your stuffed animals, large and small. The stuffed animal will be issued woth an offical label with the latin name, exactly as we do with the animals in our scientific collections.

On the picture is an Raphus cucullatus (dodo), Gorilla gorilla (gorilla), Thylacinus cynocephalus (thylacine), Ornithorhynchus anatinus (platypus) og Architeuthis dux (giant squid).

THe last time the teddy bear zoologists visited the Zoological Museum was a great success, and it was remarkable to see how many, different (plush) spicies there are in Danish children's rooms. Especially interesting was the discovery of a number of completely new species that were unknown to science, including the purple, three-toed, dancin sloth (Bradypus disco), the rainbow owl (Bubo polychroma), the sushi seal (Phoca nigiri) and the rare, pink hybrid wolf-unicorn (Canis unicornilupus purpurata).
