Life under the surface

SCIENCE EVENT AT THE ZOOLOGICAL MUSEUM

Meet more than 50 international and Danish scientists and learn more about their research into life in the ocean and in fresh water. The Natural History Museum and DTU Aqua have teamed up to organize this event, which takes place at the Zoological Museum on Saturday, 21 May from 10 AM – 4 PM.

The researchers will use the museum’s scientific collections to tell the exciting stories about life under water. You can learn more about topics such as new species of deep-sea fishes, the Greenland shark, the horseshoe crab, tardigrades, and the secretive otter from Zealand. Also, do not miss a visit to the whale cellar that contains one of the world’s biggest collections of whale skeletons.

This will be the last event before the Zoological Museum closes by the end of the autumn vacation 2022.

All activities are free of charge as long as you have a ticket to the museum or an annual pass. You can buy your ticket upon arrival or online.
