Theatre in the Botanical Garden
Experience Shakespeare's comedy Much Ado About Nothing
15 August – 2 September 2023 at 7:00 PM – 8:45 PM
The performance is in English
For the fourth time, the theater troupe After Hours Theatre Company transforms the garden's lake, paths, and hiding places into the stage for Theatre in the Botanical Garden. With the romantic oasis as backdrop, the actors take us into Shakespeare's world of young love, contrasts, misunderstandings, and masquerades - and of course, plenty of fun and mischief.
In Shakespeare's lively comedy, 'Much Ado About Nothing', we meet Beatrice and Benedick, who are tricked into falling in love with each other. In contrast to their love, we have the relationship between Hero and Claudio, where Claudio is deceived into rejecting Hero at the altar on their wedding day.
Picnic in the garden before the play
Bring blankets and food and enjoy your own picnic from 6 PM on the lawn before the curtain falls at 7 PM. In the Botanical Garden's shop, you can buy water, juice, ice cream, organic red and white wine, beer (with/without alcohol) and chips. Good to know before the play.
