People in Global We conversation portal

Join the Global We: The world's largest conversation on climate

How is climate change experienced in Barbados, Rwanda or India? Satisfy your curiosity and learn more about the differences and similarities between us when the Natural History Museum of Denmark invites you to climate conversations across the globe in collaboration with the Museum for the United Nations. Through a portal in the museum's courtyard, we can create a connection to 18 countries all over the world, in order to exchange experiences and perspectives on the planet's biggest challenges.

All portals are equipped with a large screen, camera and microphone, which gives a unique one-to-one experience of sitting in the same room as those you meet on the other side of the world. Audio recordings of the conversations will become a large international archive for perspectives on the climate crisis.

Take part in a climate café, cure your climate anxiety with group meditation, meet other young people at Climate Friday or contribute to a conversation across generations – there are free events for all ages, and more events are coming up.

See current events in the climate portal in the calendar below and find an event that suits you.

Background

In the fall of 2022, UN Live launched the programme “Global We for Climate Action” to bring the voices of the many into the climate agenda. Ten interconnected portals have already been open to the public since October, enabling real-time, life-size conversations between participants in distant parts of the world who almost feel they are meeting in the same room.

So far, the initiative has drawn a diverse crowd of decision-makers, influencers, activists and climate specialists, and, most importantly, the many people, including those who are disproportionately affected by climate change.
