The Natural History Museum of Denmark has to some extent made our own photos and videos available to use for stories that mentions the museum - including Zoological Museum and Botanical Garden. Below you will find the general conditions for the use of photos and videos that the Natural History Museum of Denmark has copyright to.
General conditions
- Photos and videos can only be used in press material after prior arrangement with the Natural History Museum
- Photos and videos must not be manipulated, edited or otherwise modified without the consent of the Natural History Museum
- Photos and videos must not be passed on or sold to a third party
- Photo and video credit must be given to the photographer and © Natural History Museum of Denmark
- If possible, we would like to receive a copy of the press materials marketing photos or videos by the Natural History Museum

Private photography in Botanical Garden
As a private individual, you are allowed to take photos and film at the Natural History Museum including the Botanical Garden and Zoological Museum, as long as you follow the current restrictions.
Requests in regards to commercial photography and filming (e.g. fashion photography, fashion blogs, product photos, music videos etc.) must be directed to Head of Commercial Activity Anne-Marie Hoogerwerf-Hospes at anne.hospes@snm.ku.dk.
Requests from the media in regards to photography and filming must to directed to Head of Communication Rikke Sanderhoff Mørch at rsm@snm.ku.dk.
The museum receives a large number of requests in regards to photography and filming and there must therefore be expected a response time for up to 5 weeks.
