The Library at the Natural History Museum

The Library is merged from three former libraries at the Botanical, Geological and Zoological Museums, respectively. The library has one administration, but two addresses. In the new Natural History Museum the library will be part of the Knowledge-Center located in the former Polytechnical Highschool at Sølvtorvet.

Apart from the collection of books and journals, the botanical, geological and zoological archives are also  part of the library.

The holdings of the library are not for loan, but for use at the reading room, with possibilities for copying, scanning and photographing. For special requests, it is recommendable to make an appointment by mail or phone before the visit.

The Library of the Science and Health and Medical Faculties now administer the collections of modern books (after 1900) and journals founded after 1900. They are searchable online through the database for the Royal Library (rex.kb.dk), and the loans may be picked up at our addresses below.
