The Natural History Museum of Denmark wishes to help solve the challenges of society today through research, teaching, exhibitions and public engagement. The Museum provides access to both state-of-the-art and cutting-edge research expertise and laboratory facilities.
As Denmark's national museum for natural history, the museum provides expert identification of natural history objects. The museum also houses more than 14 million reference collections from more than 500 years of collecting around the World and new collections are added continuously.
The Museum provides research based consultancy services through participation in expert panels and through providing solutions for specific tasks for industry, governmental agencies, local museums etc. primarily within archaeology, geology, nature management, biodiversity, forensics, authentication, and sustainability.
