Centre for Stars and Planets – StarPlan |
||
|
How did the terrestrial planets form, and were there special circumstances that allowed for the preservation of water worlds like Earth, where life has been thriving for nearly 4 billion years? By integrating high-precision isotope studies of meteorites with stellar evolution theory, astrophysical models and astronomical observations, scientists from the centre are investigating the origin and evolution of planetary systems, including our own.
